RICHMOND, Va. – It is postseason time as the 2025 CAA Women’s Soccer Championship opens play on Thursday from Long Island and Williamsburg, Va.

Second-seeded Stony Brook (10-6-1, 5-4-0 CAA) will play host to third-seeded Hofstra (6-4-7, 3-3-3 CAA) on Thursday in a 2 p.m. tilt between North Division foes from Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. The South Division’s second seed, William & Mary (7-6-4, 5-2-2 CAA), will welcome third-seeded Elon (10-2-5, 4-2-3 CAA) for a 7 p.m. showdown from Martin Family Stadium.

All five matches of the 2025 CAA Women’s Soccer Championship will be streamed live on FloCollege. Johnny Gadamowitz and Joey Jarzynka are on the call for the North Division matchup, while Andy Loce and Shelton Moss will call the action for the South Division contest.

Stony Brook and Hofstra met just four days before their scheduled quarterfinal matchup, seeing the Pride emerge victorious, 3-2, on the road. Hofstra jumped out to a 2-0 lead through 45 minutes of action, seeing Millie Davies lace a free kick into the upper right corner and Mathilde Braithwaite head home a cross from inside the 18. The Seawolves did not go down quietly as Hannah Maracina and Hedvig Helling found twice just over eight minutes apart midway through the second half. Hofstra defender Olivia Pearse went bar down in the 79th minute, booting a laser into the back of the net from 20 yards out to put the Pride ahead for a 3-2 victory.

Thursday will mark the first postseason meeting between Hofstra and Stony Brook. In a series that dates back to 2001, the Pride holds a 12-1-1 advantage. The Seawolves’ lone win against Hofstra came on Oct. 23, 2022, stunning the Pride, 2-1, on the road.

Elon found its way into the field after posting a 0-0 draw with Charleston on Decision Day. The two programs battled back and forth with the shot margin slightly favoring the Cougars, 15-13. The Phoenix’s Katie Bisgrove turned away all seven Charleston attempts on frame, including a pair of saves in the final six minutes, to pick up her CAA-best seventh clean sheet with a 0-0 draw and punch Elon’s ticket into the postseason.

William & Mary closed out the regular season having won four of its last five matches, including a 4-0 win on Sunday against Hampton. The season finale victory marked the third straight clean sheet for the Tribe.

Much like the North side of the bracket, Elon and William & Mary will also square off for the first time in the postseason. The two programs have split their all-time series at 5-5-2. The Tribe secured a 2-1 win in their lone regular-season meeting in 2025, thanks to second-half goals from CAA Rookie of the Year Ellie Leffler and Sheridan Brummett. All-CAA Second Team selection Isa Murdock provided the Phoenix’s lone strike at the 27-minute mark.

North Division Champion and top seed Monmouth, as well as South Division Champion and No. 1 seed UNCW, await the winners of the divisional quarterfinal matchup. The two programs will host their respective semifinal matchups in a 1 p.m. tilt on Sunday, Nov. 2.
