Noah Rak picked up Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week honors for the second time this season while Fairfield University goalie
Max McGuire was named the CAA Rookie of the Week.

Senior Noah Rak went 14-of-18 on faceoffs (77.8 percent), scooped up 11 ground balls and scored two goals on as many shots in Massachusetts’ 9-8 comeback win at Delaware. Rak won 6-of-6 faceoffs in the pivotal fourth quarter, when Massachusetts strung together four consecutive goals and turned a 7-5 deficit into a 9-7 lead with less than two minutes to play in the game. He scored the team’s first goal of the evening and provided another in the third, which cut the deficit to 7-6 only six seconds into the final stanza.

Fairfield freshman Max McGuire earned his first career win in the cage in the 5-4 decision against Hofstra, which was receiving votes. McGuire made eight saves on the day, holding the Pride scoreless for the first 17:48 of the contest and then stonewalling them in the fourth quarter, allowing the Stags to comeback for the win. His eighth save of the day came in the waning seconds of regulation to send Fairfield off with the victory.
