Jenifer Rhodes was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week while William & Mary’s
Victoria Reynolds earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors in the final set of awards this season.

Senior Jenifer Rhodes had a standout week as Elon clinched a regular season Division I championship for the first time in school history with an 82-48 victory over UNCW. Rhodes matched her career high with 21 points on 10-for-16 from the floor in the contest. In her final regular season game inside Alumni Gym. The forward just missed a double-double by finishing with nine rebounds to go with a season-high two assists and one steal. In tying her career high, she is now averaging 11 points per game through the regular season, the highest point per game average in her career.

Freshman Victoria Reynolds helped the Tribe to a 74-65 victory over Drexel and to the fourth seed in the CAA Championship by not missing a single shot in the regular season finale. She went 3-for-3 from the floor and hit a free throw to finish with seven points to go along with a rebound, a steal, and a blocked shot in just 12 minutes of action. For the season, the rookie is averaging 5.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, while adding 1.2 steals per game.
The
2017 CAA Women’s Basketball Championship gets underway this week as all 10 teams are vying for an automatic berth into the NCAA Championship. The event will be held March 8-11 at the James Madison University Convocation Center in Harrisonburg, Va.
