RICHMOND, Va. (November 27, 2017) – University of Delaware junior Nicole Enabosi and College of William & Mary senior Abby Rendle were named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women’s Basketball Players of the Week while Northeastern University freshman Stella Clark garnered her third-consecutive CAA Rookie of the Week honor.

Junior Nicole Enabosi helped the Blue Hens split games at the Saint Joseph’s Thanksgiving Tournament, averaging 24.0 points and 14.0 rebounds while shooting 65 percent (17-of-26) from the field. In the double overtime loss to Saint Peter’s, she registered a career-high 27 points, shooting 12-of-17 from the floor to go along with 16 rebounds along with five assists and three blocks. In the win over Eastern Illinois, she delivered 21 points, going 5-for-10 from the field and 11-for-15 at the charity stripe, and 12 rebounds for her league-leading  fourth double-double of the season.  She was named to the All-Tournament Team for her efforts as well.

Senior Abby Rendle led the Tribe to a 2-0 week by nearly averaging a triple-double with 17.5 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 8.5 blocks in the two victories. In the thrilling overtime win at ECU, Rendle recorded her third career triple-double as she had career-highs of 25 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 blocked shots. In the win against Loyola, Rendle was in double-figures with 10 points, adding nine boards, and seven more blocks. Rendle has 252 career blocks, four away from breaking the W&M record and moving into second place all-time in CAA history. She’s also closing on Elena Delle Donne’s conference record of 273 career blocks.

Freshman Stella Clark had another outstanding week, averaging 13.0 points, 4.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game to help Northeastern split games at the UMass Thanksgiving Classic. Clark started the week with 16 points against Massachusetts, including 12 during the second half in the victory.  Against Houston, she netted 10 points and dished out five assists. Clark has had five double-digit scoring games through her first six collegiate contests. Clark is the first rookie to win three-straight honors to open a season since the award's creation in 2002-03. 
 
 
#CAAHoops – The Week that Was
 
Charleston (1-5): The Cougars dropped a pair of games last week at home, falling to Campbell and Appalachian State. Redshirt senior Tanisha Brown averaged a double-double for the week with 18.0 points and 11.0 rebounds while Bri Boyd averaged 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds.
 
Delaware (3-3): The Blue Hens split games at the Saint Joseph’s Thanksgiving Tournament, falling to Saint Peter’s in double overtime before downing Eastern Illinois. Junior Nicole Enabosi averaged a double-double for the second straight week with 24.0 points and 14.0 rebounds while shooting 65 percent from the field. Rookie Lizzie Oleary averaged 7.0 points and 4.5 rebounds.
 
Drexel (3-3): The Dragons went up against some tough competition at the Paradise Jam, falling to Virginia Tech, which was receiving votes, and No. 11/13 West Virginia, before topping Butler to close out action. Sophomore Aubree Brown landed a spot on the All-Tournament Team, averaging 9.7 points and 4.0 assists per game. Senior Kelsi Lidge also had a strong tournament, averaging 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game.
 
Elon (5-1): The Phoenix went 2-1 last week, beginning with a victory at UCF. Elon then split games at the Puerto Rico Clasico, knocking off SEC foe Alabama, which was receiving votes, before falling to undefeated Iowa, which was also receiving votes. Senior Shay Burnett averaged 14.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists for the week. She had a season-high 23 points in the win over Alabama, thanks in part to a 13-for-15 effort at the free throw line.
 
Hofstra (3-3): The Pride went 2-1 last week, topping Holy Cross before splitting games at the Lady Rebel Round-Up in Las Vegas. At the tournament, Hofstra fell to host UNLV before knocking off ACC foe Wake Forest. Senior Aleana Leon had an excellent week, finishing in double figures in all three games and earning a spot on the Lady Rebel Round-Up All-Tournament Team. In the 69-66 win over Wake Forest, Leon had 19 points, including clutch baskets down the stretch to hold off the Demon Deacons.
 
James Madison (2-4): The Dukes split games at the TD Bank Classic, hosted by Vermont. James Madison was edged by Villanova in a rematch of last year’s WNIT third round contest. The Dukes bounced back with a win over the host Catamounts. Sophomore Kamiah Smalls was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 18.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game. Kelly Koshuta added 20.5 points per game for the Dukes.
 
UNCW (3-3): The Seahawks went 1-2 last week, topping Catawba and falling to North Carolina and Furman. Sophomore Lacey Suggs came off the bench to lead the Seahawks with 16.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, shooting 71.4 percent (20-of-28) from the field with a pair of 20-point efforts against Catawba and Furman.
 
Northeastern (3-3): The Huskies split games at the UMass Thanksgiving Classic, downing the host Minutewomen before falling to Houston. Junior Jess Genco averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 37.5 minutes per game for the week. She also had a double-double against Houston with 12 points and 12 assists, tying a career high. Rookie Stella Clark was solid once again, contributing 13.0 points, 4.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game.
 
Towson (1-4): The Tigers split games last week. Towson gave Head Coach Diane Richardson her first collegiate coaching victory with a 95-64 win over UMBC on November 21. Five Tigers averaged double figure for the week including Nukiya Mayo, who averaged 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds, and Mary Cuevas, who had 10.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game with five blocks.
 
William & Mary (4-1): The Tribe went 2-0 last week, downing East Carolina and Loyola Maryland. Senior Abby Rendle nearly averaged a triple-double for the week with 17.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 8.5 blocks per game. Victoria Reynolds added 13.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists while Bianca Boggs averaged 14.0 points per game.
