RICHMOND, Va. (January 23, 2017) – University of Delaware forward Nicole Enabosi and James Madison University guard Precious Hall were named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women’s Basketball Players of the Week while Drexel’s Bailey Greenberg earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season.

Sophomore Nicole Enabosi averaged a double-double to help Delaware to a 2-0 week. Enabosi, who has posted double-doubles in five straight games, averaged 19.0 points and 12.5 rebounds. She also shot 70.0 percent from the floor, connecting on 14 of the 20 shots she took. She opened the week with 15 points and 13 rebounds in the victory over Northeastern. In the win against Charleston, Enabosi tallied 23 points on 8-for-9 shooting from the floor and a 7-for-7 effort from the free throw line while grabbing 12 rebounds.

Redshirt senior Precious Hall had another big week for the Dukes, averaging 30.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while going 11-for-13 from the free throw line. Hall dropped in 41 points in the Dukes’ road win against first-place Elon for her second 40-point game of the season. She’s only the second player in CAA history to score 40+ points twice in a season; the only other player is Elena Delle Donne. Against Towson, Hall posted 20 points to extend her double-digit scoring streak to 18 games while grabbing nine rebounds.

Rookie forward Bailey Greenberg helped Drexel to a 2-0 week by averaging 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds. Greenberg scored 12 in the win over Hofstra, her most since a season-best 13 in the CAA opener, by going 5-for-9 from the floor and adding four rebounds. She also had five boards in the victory over the College of Charleston, tops on the team in that win. Greenberg has now scored at least seven points in each of the last four games, her longest such streak since opening her career with five-straight games of 7+ points.
 
 
#CAAHoops – The Week that Was
 
Elon remained atop the CAA Standings while Drexel, Delaware and Towson went 2-0 on the week.
 
Charleston (5-13; 2-5 CAA): The Cougars had a pair of tough road losses to Drexel and Delaware. Senior Bre Bolden averaged a double-double (22.0ppg/11.0rpg). Tanisha Brown averaged 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds, just missing a triple-double at Delaware finishing the day with 13 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals.
 
Delaware (10-8; 4-3 CAA): The Blue Hens pushed their winning streak to three games with victories over Northeastern and Charleston. Sophomore Nicole Enabosi extended her double-double streak to five games, averaging 19.0 points and 12.5 rebounds for the week while shooting better than 70 percent from the field.
 
Drexel (14-4; 5-2 CAA): The Dragons went 2-0 last week, posting home victories against Charleston and Hofstra to move into second place in the CAA standings. Sarah Curran was the Dragons' leading scorer in both games averaging 12.5 points per game. Meghan Creighton dished out her 500th career assist against Charleston.
 
Elon (14-5; 6-1 CAA): The Phoenix bounced back from a loss to JMU and topped William & Mary to return to first place in the CAA standings. Shay Burnett averaged a double-double (15.0ppg, 10.0rpg) for the week while Malaya Johnson averaged 12.0 points on 52.6 percent shooting and 8.0 rebounds.
 
Hofstra (8-9; 1-5 CAA): The Pride had a pair of tough losses last week falling to UNCW in overtime and to Drexel on the road. Krystal Luciano averaged 17.0 points and 5.5 assists per game while Ashunae Durant averaged 16.0 rebounds, including a career-high 21 rebounds, the most in the CAA this season.
 
James Madison (12-6; 5-2 CAA): After a big win at Elon, the Dukes returned home and suffered a loss to Towson. It’s the first time since 2012-13 in which the Dukes have had multiple regular season losses to a CAA opponent and the first time since they’ve been swept by a CAA team. Precious Hall dropped in 41 points in the road win over first-place Elon for her second 40-point effort of the year. Rookie Kamiah Smalls averaged 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
 
UNCW (6-12; 1-6 CAA): The Seahawks split games last week, picking up their first CAA win of the year at Hofstra, before falling at Northeastern. Madison Raque averaged 14.0 points per game while Jasmine Steele averaged 5.0 assists and 9.0 points per game.
 
Northeastern (7-12; 3-4 CAA): The Huskies split games last week, falling at Delaware before topping UNCW. Francesca Sally put together a solid week, averaging 13.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, and recorded her fourth double-double during her last five games against UNCW. Claudia Ortiz contributed 11.0 points per game while rookie Shannon Todd averaged 8.5 points per game.
 
Towson (11-7; 4-3 CAA): The Tigers went 2-0 on the week, knocking off William & Mary and James Madison. Towson completed the season sweep of the Dukes by notching their first-ever win in Harrisonburg by closing out the game on a 17-3 run. Raven Bankston averaged 19.5 points for the week, including 26 points in the win over James Madison.
 
William & Mary (13-4; 3-3 CAA): The Tribe had a pair of tough losses, falling at Towson and at home to first-place Elon. Marlena Tremba averaged 12.5 points per game, Jenna Green averaged 10.5 points on 52.6 percent shooting and 7.5 assists and Abby Rendle averaged 12.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.5 blocks per game last week.
