RICHMOND, Va. – CAA Football announced its Players of the Week on Monday morning, following a highly-competitive week 10.
Offensive Player of the Week
R.J. Harris | WR | New Hampshire
- Caught 10 passes for 108 yards and a pair of scores in UNH’s win over UAlbany.
- Added a 21-yard touchdown on his only rushing attempt of the game.
- All three touchdowns came in the first half, helping UNH take a 29-3 halftime lead.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Sage Harold | DL | James Madison
- Posted nine tackles against William & Mary, including a career-high tying seven solos.
- Also matched career highs with three sacks and four tackles-for-loss for the Dukes.
- Ended the game with a sack as W&M was down just seven and at the JMU 23 yard-line.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Omar Howard | LB | Richmond
- Recorded 18 tackles in Richmond’s key victory over Villanova.
- His 18 tackles were the second most in CAA Football this season.
- Added a sack for the Spiders.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Kendell Anderson | RB | William & Mary
- Blocked a fourth-quarter JMU punt and recovered it for a William & Mary touchdown.
- The block marked his first of the 2014 season.
- Added a tackle on kick coverage for the Tribe.
Rookie of the Week
Josh Gontarek | WR | UAlbany
- Finished with 70 yards on eight catches for UAlbany against New Hampshire.
- His eight receptions and 70 yards were both game highs for the Great Danes.
- Recorded an eight-yard scoring catch in the fourth quarter.
