RICHMOND, Va. – As CAA Football begins its final week of the regular season, the conference announced its award winners from week 12 on Monday morning.
Offensive Player of the Week
John Robertson | QB | Villanova
· Went 15-of-21 passing for 225 yards and two scores against UAlbany.
· Rushed 22 times for 168 yards and three touchdowns.
· His 393 yards of total offense were a season high.
Defensive Player of the Week
Taylor Reynolds | CB | James Madison
· Posted eight tackles and two pass breakups in JMU’s key win at Richmond.
· Took back two interceptions for touchdowns, totaling 101 combined return yards.
· Also forced a pair of fumbles for the Dukes.
Special Teams Player of the Week
John Carpenter | PK | William & Mary
· Went 3-for-3 on field goals at Towson, hitting from 44, 25 and 24 yards out.
· Connected on all four PAT attempts for the Tribe.
· Averaged 62.0 yards on eight kickoffs.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Tyrice Beverette | DB | Stony Brook
· Totaled five tackles in Stony Brook’s win over Rhode Island.
· Recorded two sacks, two tackles-for-loss and a forced fumble that was recovered by the Seawolves for a touchdown.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Nigel Beckford | RB | Maine
· Finished with 24 carries for 104 yards and a touchdown at Elon.
· Caught two balls for 34 yards, including a 29-yard score.
· The receiving touchdown marked the first of his career.
