DREXEL LACROSSE HONORS CANCER PATIENTS IN MILLERSTRONG LACROSSE CLASSIC

PHILADELPHIA - 14 Drexel Lacrosse Players and former Assistant Coach Greg Raymond traveled to the South River High School Stadium in Edgewater, Maryland to participate in the Millerstrong Lacrosse Classic to honor Teens and Young Adults with Cancer.

Each of the student-athletes played for someone they knew with cancer and they also honored their former Head Coach Chris Bates’ wife Ann for her courageous battle with Cancer.

You can learn more about the tournament on www.millerstrong.com. Over $28,000 was raised this year under the leadership of Sarah Miller, President of Millerstrong: The We Believe Foundation. 

This year’s guest speakers were Hopkins Head Coach, Dave Pietramala and the event's namesake Drexel goalie Matt Miller. It was a hot day and over 25 Division 1 and 7 Division 3 and 2 Schools were represented with over 90 players and all were excited and honored to be playing and vowed to continue this important tradition and event in years to come.
