RICHMOND, Va. – The Sports Network released its Buck Buchanan Award Watch List on Thursday, with a pair of standout seniors in Villanova’s Antoine Lewis and James Madison’s Stephon Robertson representing CAA Football on the 20-member list.

Lewis was selected to the All-CAA First Team this past season after tallying 50 tackles, including 29 solo, 8.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup. For his career, the Somers Point, N.J., product has played in 36 games and registered 142 tackles, including 76 solo, while compiling 16.0 tackles for loss, four sacks, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, one pass break-up and one blocked kick.

Robertson returns to the Buchanan Watch List after further establishing himself as the core of a dominant James Madison defense that has consistently been among the league leaders in virtually every defensive statistical category. The Alexandria, Va., native and reigning CAA Football Defensive Player of the Year wrapped up his junior campaign ranked third in the league with 101 tackles and led the Dukes with 8.5 tackles for loss. Robertson also recorded a sack, an interception and five pass breakups on the year.

The Buchanan Award Watch List can undergo revision during the 2013 season. Ballots will be sent to a panel of about 175 sports information and media relations directors, broadcasters, writers and other dignitaries after the close of the regular season on Nov. 23. The top three vote-getters will be invited to The Sports Network FCS Awards Presentation in December.

The Sports Network also presents the Walter Payton, Jerry Rice and Eddie Robinson Awards. The Payton Award honors the FCS player of the year, the Rice Award goes to the FCS freshman of the year and the Robinson Award honors the FCS coach of the year. The Rice Award and Robinson Award winners will join the top three Payton Award finalists at December’s national awards banquet.
