The senior guard was 8-of-16 from the floor and drained three treys in 37 minutes of action. Massenat moved into fifth place on the Dragons’ all-time assists list in the game.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Jamall Robinson • Hofstra
Fr., G/F, 6-5, 210 - Cheltenham, Md./Paul VI

He also contributed eight points and four boards in an 88-84 setback to Monmouth last Friday.
NEWCOMERS MAKE AN IMPACT: Several newcomers made an impact in their CAA debuts last weekend. Delaware forward Davon Usher, a transfer from Mississippi Valley State, averaged 20.0 ppg in his first two games, including a 30-point effort against Charleston Southern on Sunday. Hofstra guard/forward Zeke Upshaw scored a team-best 22 points against Monmouth last Friday. Northeastern junior forward Scott Eatherton, a tranfer from St. Francis (Pa.), recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds against Boston University on Sunday. Towson guard Four McGlynn, a transfer from Vermont, hit 5-of-7 from 3-point range and scored 15 points in the Tigers’ victory over Navy last Friday. UNCW junior college transfer Addison Spruill averaged 11.0 ppg in the Seahawks’ road games at Iowa and Iowa State.
TOUGH START: It was a tough opening weekend for CAA teams as the league combined for a 2-10 mark. Five of the 10 losses came by five points or less and three came to nationally ranked opponents. Drexel gave 22nd-ranked UCLA all it could handle last Friday, missing a game-tying three-point attempt in the final seconds before falling 72-67.
TOWSON MOVES UP TO 23RD IN MID-MAJOR POLL: Towson, the preseason favorite to capture the CAA title, moved up one spot to #23 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll released on November 11. College of Charleston, Drexel, Delaware and Northeastern were among other teams receiving votes in the poll. The Tigers also picked up one vote in this week's Associated Press Top 25 poll.
