Trio Collect Women's Swimming/Diving Weekly Honors

RICHMOND, Va. (October 15, 2013) – A pair of juniors, UNCW’s Hannah Stephenson and William & Mary’s Megan Howard, have been named Co-CAA Women’s Swimmers of the Week, while Towson junior Lyndsey Dickson was tabbed Diver of the Week.

Stephenson and Howard each claimed first place finishes over three events at their respective meets last weekend. A native of Raleigh, N.C., Stephenson helped the Seahawks defeat former conference foe Old Dominion with individual titles in the 100 backstroke (56.33) and 200 backstroke (2:03.11). She also swam a leg in the first-place 200 medley relay swam by UNCW in 1:46.26.

Howard, a junior from McLean, Va., set a dual-meet career-best with a time of 51.38 in 100 free, and then swam to a first-place finish the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:11.47. Howard completed her solid meet by swimming the fly leg of the first-place 200 medley relay (1:46.86) finish.

Dickson found victory in both the one and three-meter boards en route to helping the Tigers defeat Hood College and Howard. She scored 240.50 points in the one-meter and 292.35 in the three-meter.
