Ashley Christy • Georgia State

Waxhaw, N.C./Marvin Ridge HS, So., Outfielder

Christy collected CAA Player of the Week honors after batting .583 to help lead Georgia State to a 4-1 record last week. Christy was 7-for-12 in five contests with two doubles, a triple, and two runs scored. The sophomore outfielder also registered a .917 slugging percentage on the week to go along with an on-base percentage of .643.



Heather Kiefer • James Madison

Potomac Falls, Va./Potomac Falls, So., Pitcher

Kiefer picked up CAA Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing 16 1/3 scoreless innings to help lead James Madison to a perfect 5-0 record last week. The sophomore right-hander went 2-0 with a save in a trio of appearances, limiting her opponents to just four hits and two walks while striking out seven. After throwing a three-hit shutout in the Dukes’ 2-0 win over Princeton last Wednesday, Kiefer tossed a one-hitter in a 6-0 win over Towson in the Dukes’ conference opener last Saturday.



Jailyn Ford • James Madison

Hot Springs, Va./Bath County, Fr., Pitcher/First Baseman

Ford earned her second CAA Rookie of the Week award of the season after going 3-0 in the circle and compiling a .333 batting average in JMU’s five wins. Ford tossed two complete games on the week, including a 1-0 shutout of Princeton on Wednesday. The Hot Springs, Va. native also opened CAA play by striking out 16 in the Dukes’ 5-2 victory over Towson last Saturday. At the plate, Ford went 4-for-12 with a home run, three runs scored, and two RBI’s on the week.


Lisa Stacevicz • Delaware

Cedar Grove, N.J./Cedar Grove, Fr., Catcher

Stacevicz picked up her first CAA Rookie of the Week award after helping Delaware to a perfect 5-0 week after batting .500 (9-18) with four doubles, five RBI, and four runs scored. Stacevicz led the Blue Hens to a doubleheader sweep of LaSalle on Wednesday with four doubles, three RBI’s and two runs scored. The freshman catcher also helped Delaware begin CAA play 3-0 with a weekend sweep at Drexel by tallying four hits, two RBI, and a run scored.
