RICHMOND, Va. (July 22, 2010) -- CAA Football will officially kickoff the 2010 season, Wednesday, July 28 when it hosts the 2010 CAA Football Media Day event at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md.  CAA Football Commissioner Tom Yeager, all 10 league coaches and selected student-athletes will be on-hand to preview the 2010 season and give media insight on the upcoming season.

The 2010 Preseason All-Conference Football squad as well as the Preseason Players of the Year and predicted order of finish will be officially announced during the event which runs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  CAA Football, along with its television partners Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network, also plan to officially release the 2010 CAA Football Television Schedule.  This season’s slate will again be one of the largest for any Football Championship Subdivision Conference in the country.

Three radio stations will broadcast shows from the event.  Fox Sports Radio 1370 AM (Baltimore) will be on the air live at 8 a.m., with the Rob Long Show.  Herb FM Live365.com will broadcast a live three-hour show beginning at 9 a.m.  ESPN Radio 950 AM (Richmond) will also be on hand to tape its show for a 4-7 p.m., broadcast.  The Richmond affiliate also plans to produce a 2010 CAA Football Preview Radio Show which will air at various times throughout the 2010 preseason.

CAA Football’s 2010 regular season is set to kick off Sept. 2 with four non-conference contests as Delaware, Maine, Rhode Island and Towson will all be in action.  The first CAA Football league contest is later that same weekend when Massachusetts hosts William and Mary at 3:30 p.m., Sept. 4 on The Comcast Network and Comcast SportsNet New England.
