Pairings Set For CAA Women's Soccer Championship

RICHMOND, Va. (October 27, 2013) - The field is set for the 2013 CAA Women's Soccer Championship after a competitive regular-season race that provided excitement through the final day. 

The six-team event will open with quarterfinal action on Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3 before moving to University Park in Harrisonburg, Va. for the semifinals and finals on November 8 and 10.

In the quarterfinals, #4 Hofstra (9-5-3 overall, 3-2-3 in CAA) entertains #5 UNCW (9-9 overall, 4-4 in CAA) at 1 p.m. on Saturday. #3 Northeastern (5-8-4 overall, 5-2-1 in CAA) hosts #6 Delaware (9-7-2 overall, 3-3-2 in CAA) at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The tournament continues on November 8 with semifinal action in Harrisonburg. #2 William & Mary (8-2-6 overall, 5-1-2 in CAA) faces the Northeastern/Delaware winner at 3 p.m., followed by #1 James Madison (14-4-1 overall, 6-1-1 in CAA) against the Hofstra/UNCW winner at 6 p.m..

The CAA championship match will be played at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 10 with the winner earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship.

Video for both semifinal matches and the championship final of the CAA Women's Soccer Championship will be carried live for free in high definition on CAA.TV and CAA's iPad app. A free login will be required to view the games via CAA.TV on a computer or using the CAA's iPad app. The same free login link will be provided accordingly on the Women's Soccer Championship Central page.

Five different schools have won the CAA women's soccer championship over the past five seasons.

Sunday, November 3 - Quarterfinals (at Northeastern)

#6 Delaware at #3 Northeastern - 4 p.m.

Friday, November 8 - Semifinals (University Park - Harrisonburg, Va.)

#2 William & Mary vs. Northeastern/Delaware winner - 3 p.m.

#1 James Madison vs. Hofstra/UNCW winner - 6 p.m.

Sunday, November 10 - Championship (University Park - Harrisonburg, Va.)

CAA Championship Match - 1 p.m.
