RICHMOND, Va. (May 29, 2012) - A trio of CAA women's lacrosse players were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I All-America teams as announced by the organization on Monday. Towson's Alexa Demski, Mary Teeters and James Madison's Casey Ancarrow all received Third-Team accolades.

Ancarrow was selected to the IWLCA All-America Third-Team for the second year in a row. The 2012 CAA Player of the Year ranked second on the Dukes' team in points (43), goals (34) and assists (9) despite missing the final five games of the season with an injury. The redshirt junior attacker was the CAA's leading goal-scorer, averaging 2.52 scores per game in regular-season play. However, she did not qualify for the final CAA statistical rankings because she did not play in 75 percent of JMU's games.

Demski earned All-American honors for the first time in her career after picking up first team all-region honors for the third straight season. The stellar defender started the first 16 games of the year before suffering a season-ending injury against James Madison in the regular season finale. Demski earned first team All-CAA honors for the second straight season. She led the Tigers and finished fifth in the CAA, averaging 1.25 caused turnovers per game. Demski helped the Tiger defense hold 12 of their 16 regular season opponents to under 10 goals in a game. She had 39 ground balls and 11 draw controls.

Teeters capped her spectacular senior season by earning All-American honors after earning first team all-region honors for the second time in her career. A first team All-CAA selection and a Tewaaraton Trophy nominee, Teeters ranked among the nation's leaders in goals against average (8.47) and save percentage (.502) all season. She finished the season with 159 saves, becoming just the sixth player in program history to record over 600 saves (631) in her career. Teeters had several key stops in the CAA Tournament to help the Tigers secure their fifth CAA title as she was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

The IWLCA will honor the National All-America selections at the IWLCA All-America banquet on June 16 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King Prussia, Pa.
