Katz earned CAA Player of the Week honors after the junior scored two goals, including the overtime game-winner, in the Pioneers’ 9-8 win over Hartford Saturday. Katz started the day off by scoring SHU’s third goal helping the Pioneers build a 4-1 lead. Then, 34 seconds into overtime, Katz picked up the ball off a Pioneer faceoff win and fired home the game-winning goal -- marking Sacred Heart’s first win of the season.

 

CAA MEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Mark Manos, Drexel
Fr., GK, West Chester, Pa./Salesianum (Del.)


Manos earned his second Rookie of the Week honor after equalling a season-best 17 saves in Drexel’s 8-6 loss at No. 18 St. John’s Saturday. The Red Storm had 47 shots, but was able to beat the rookie on just eight occasions. Manos has a .618 save percentage in four games this season and an 8.58 goals-against average.
