CAA MEN’S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Shane Sturgis • Penn State

Sturgis received CAA Player of the Week honors after posting a career day in leading Penn State to a 22-7 win over Michigan in the Nittany Lions’ season opener Saturday. The senior attack scored a game-high seven points on six goals and an assist. The Downingtown, Pa., native set a career high with his six goals and was the first Nittany Lion to pull of the six-goal feat since April 11, 2009. Sturgis’ seven points were also the most in his career for a single game and the most since Jack Forster tallied eight against the Wolverines two years ago (Feb. 16, 2011). The senior attack scored six times on eight shots (75%).
CAA MEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Joe Seider • Towson
Fr., A, Sparks, Md./Hereford
Seider earned CAA Rookie of the Week accolades after recording four points during his collegiate debut in Towson’s 11-8 win over High Point to open the 2014 season. The rookie netted his first career hat trick to go along with one assist in the victory. Seider’s three goals came on just five attempts.
