No. 1 Massachusetts To Represent CAA In 2012 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships
Massachusetts' contest at Garber Field in Amherst, Mass., is set for 2:30 p.m., May 12, and will air live on ESPNUHD and ESPN3.
The league's solo NCAA bid snaps a streak of three-straight seasons with multiple teams in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships. The year prior to UMass joining the league (2009) it earned an NCAA berth, but fell in the opening round to Princeton.
The Division I Semifinal and Championship games, and the Division II and III Championship games, will be held at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., May 26-28. All Division I First Round games will be televised on the ESPN family of networks May 12 and 13. The Division I Semifinals will be televised live May 26 on ESPN2HD (Times TBD). The Championship game will be televised live on ESPNHD starting at 1 p.m. ET, May 28.
