CAA Field Hockey Player and Rookie of the Week:

Sarah Breen, Fr., Midfielder, Old Dominion

Freshman midfielder Sarah Breen had a goal and three assists over the weekend as she helped No. 9 ODU to start off 2-0 in CAA action. Down 2-0 to Hofstra on Friday, Breen got the Lady Monarchs on the board off a penalty corner. She also had a pair of assists on the next two goals to give Old Dominion the lead as they scored seven unanswered goals to cruise past the Pride.

On Sunday, she recorded the game-winning assist over No. 8 Northeastern as her shot on a penalty corner was deflected in by fellow freshman Celine Marquet just before the half that ultimately gave the Lady Monarchs the 2-1 win over the Huskies. Breen leads the team in points (14) this season and is tied for the team lead in goals (5).
