26 ninth graders from the Kenwood Sports Science Academy visited Towson on Monday and explored options they may have for their future.

The  students attended Kinesiology classes in the morning, followed by an open session with Kinesiology professors to learn about sports related careers.  Athletic administrators from Compliance and Student Services talked with the students about preparation to participate in athletics in college including required core courses and the NCAA Clearinghouse.  The students then had lunch with 13 student-athletes from Towson’s men’s and women’s teams who showed them around campus, and talked with them about what it is really like to be a collegiate student-athlete.

The Kenwood students and our athletes enjoyed their time together, and our visitors left campus with aspirations of going to college, and following their dream of having sports continue to be a part of their lives.
