Hempstead, NY --The Hofstra Football team, in conjunction with the Hempstead Boys & Girls Club, conducted clinics for more than 275 youth at four different sites on Tuesday, March 26.  Three of the sites were in Hempstead with an additional clinic site located in Rockville Centre.

Over 50 Hofstra Football student-athletes and four coaches administered the clinics that taught some fundamentals of the game of football.

Founded in 1997, The Hempstead Boys & Girls Club opened its' doors to address the desperate need for after-school and summer recreation opportunities for school age children and youth residing in the Village of Hempstead.

The Hempstead Boys & Girls Club support at-risk youth and their families and provide after-school and summer programming to include recreational, cultural and artistic opportunities, skill development, academic assistance, and the promotion of personal and social growth.

In providing a wide variety of activities and services, our club engages young people in programs that meet the needs and interest of all youth.
