CAA Men's Soccer Weekly Honors - Sept. 2

Bonner was selected as the Most Valuable Player at the Wolstein Classic after leading UNCW to a 2-1 overtime victory over host Ohio State and a 1-0 triumph against Cincinnati last weekend. The sophomore scored both Seahawks’ goals against the Buckeyes, including the game-winner in the 104th minute. Bonner now has eight goals for his career as UNCW got off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2009.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Guillermo Delgado • Delaware
Fr., Forward, Tres Canots, Spain/Jose Luis Sampedro
Delgado scored three goals as Delaware opened the season with victories over UNLV (3-1) and Seattle University (3-2 in ot). The freshman contributed the Blue Hens’ first two goals versus UNLV, including the game-winner. He became the first UD freshman since 1988 with a multi-goal game in his collegiate debut. Delgado also had a game-tying goal in the win over Seattle.
