Jack Forster • Penn State | Sr., A, Jenkintown, Pa./LaSalle College HS
Forster was selected as CAA Player of the Week honors after tallying six points in Penn State’s 16-7 victory over Hofstra. The senior attacker scored five straight goals in the third quarter to help increase the Nittany Lion lead to 11-4. Forster set a season high in goals (5) and points (6), while adding an assist and three ground balls. The hat trick is the 13th of his career and he is riding a 26-game point streak dating back to March 2012. Forster became the first 50-point scorer at PSU since 2002 and sits at 52 this season.
Kyle Smith • Massachusetts | Sr., A, Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow
Smith collected CAA Player of the Week honors after netting six goals in the Minutemen’s 16-8 victory over Delaware, helping UMass clinch the final spot in the upcoming CAA Championship. Smith outscored the Blue Hens by himself in the first half, tallying five goals and an assists to help the Minutemen build an 11-4 lead at the half. His six goals tied a career high which he set back on March 23 this season against Hartford. The senior attacker leads UMass with 47 points and 29 goals this season.
CAA MEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Frank Fusco • Drexel | Fr., A, Yorktown, N.Y./Yorktown
Fusco earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors after scoring a pair of goals and handing out an assist in Drexel’s 14-8 victory over High Point to close out an undefeated season at home. The freshman attacker netted his seventh multi-goal game of the season after registering second and fourth quarter goals. Fusco ranks fourth on the team in points (32) and goals (23) this season.
