Austin Kaut • Penn State | Jr., GK, Morton, Pa./Springfield (Delco)
Kaut was named CAA Player of the Week after helping the Nittany Lions to a pair of road victories including an 11-3 win over No. 7 Bucknell. The junior goalkeeper made 30 saves on the week, allowing just nine goals for a .769 save percentage. He posted a 4.50 GAA, added six ground balls and caused a turnover. Kaut tallied 14 saves against the Bison, including 11 in the first half. He finished the week with 16 saves against the Wildcats holding off the upset effort from Villanova. His 16 stops made against the Wildcats matches a season high for Kaut.
Andrew Wascavage • Towson | Sr., GK, Drayden, Md./St. Mary’s Ryken
Wascavage earned CAA Player of the Week after making a season-high 19 stops against No. 19 Hofstra during a 7-6 conference victory. The senior keeper made eight saves in the fourth quarter to preserve the win and his total for the game was just two shy of his career high, which was set just a year ago. The six goals against Wascavege tied for the second-lowest allowed this season.
CAA MEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Frank Fusco • Drexel | Fr., A, Yorktown, N.Y./Yorktown
Fusco received CAA Rookie of the Week honors after scoring four goals on the week and helping the Dragons to a pair conference wins over Saint Joseph’s and Delaware. The freshman scored a hat trick in Drexel’s 16-3 win over the Hawks. He followed that up with a goal and an assist in the Dragons come-from-behind win against the Blue Hens. Fusco now has 17 goals and eight assists this season.
