RICHMOND, Va. (March 14, 2013) - Old Dominion junior Sidni Hoxha was selected as one of the 235 swimmers to participate in the upcoming 2013 NCAA Division I Swimming Championships. Hoxha will be competing for the 50-freestyle championship after posting a qualifying time of 19.60 at the CAA Championship two weeks ago.

The NCAA Championships will be held March 28-30 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. A total of 270 participants (235 swimmers and 35 divers) will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered.

Hoxha, the 2013 Co-Most Outstanding Swimmer at the 2013 CAA Championship, set a new school record and was just one-tenth of a second away from setting the all-time conference record after swimming a time of 19.60 in the 50 free at the preliminaries of the CAA Championships. Hoxha's time in the 50 free ranks 20th in the country this season and is less than a second off of the top time.

Hoxha will also swim in the 100 and 200 free, as he posted optional entry times in both events. The Tirane, Albania native qualified for the 100 free after posting a "B Cut" qualifying time of 43.43 on Nov. 19, 2012. Hoxha qualified for the 200 free with a time of 1:37.17 at the CAA Championships.

ESPN3.com will stream finals sessions Friday and Saturday live. Additionally, ESPNU will air a 90-minute recap show at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 10.
