With the start of practice for CAA men's basketball teams just three weeks away, we're counting down by taking a look all 11 teams.

Today we check out the Hofstra Pride and the James Madison Dukes.

QUICK HITS
Hofstra slipped to 3-15 in the CAA last season, but seven of those losses were by six points or less. Imes, who missed the final five games last season due to injury, is the Pride's top returning scorer (7.0 ppg) and rebounder (5.4 rpg). Mejia also battled injuries last season but finished strong, scoring double figures in five of Hofstra's last seven games. Coombs-McDaniel averaged 5.6 ppg for UConn's national championship team in 2010-11, while Buie contributed 5.8 ppg in 11 games as a freshman at Penn State.

QUICK HITS
Davis finished 4th in the CAA in scoring (15.9 ppg) in his first season at JMU. He tallied double figures in 16 of his last 20 games and had 11 20+-point outings during the season. Moore battled a hand injury late in the season but still ranked 4th in the CAA in assists (4.2 apg). He's already 7th in career assists (330) at JMU. Semenov averaged 16.4 ppg and hit 23-of-37 from 3-point range in JMU's final five regular season games. Goins, who was among the CAA's top rebounders in 2010-11, is back after sitting out last season due to injury.
