GSU’S Gruca, VCU’S Sargent Collect CAA Men's Golfer Of The Week Accolades – Nov. 3

RICHMOND, Va. (November 3, 2011) -Georgia State's Tyler Gruca and VCU's Chase Sargent were named CAA Men's Golfer of the Week honors after a strong finishes at the UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate.

Gruca, who shot 72-72-144 (E), and Sargent, who carded 73-71-144 (E), both finished tied for fifth on the Forest Oaks Country Club par 72, 7,212-yard course. Gruca, who posted a career-best finish, has posted three straight top 15 finishes over the Panthers last three tournaments and helped GSU to a tie for 12^th place in team scoring.  Sargent helped the Rams to a 14^th place team finish among a number of ACC and SEC squads.  The event was shortened due to rain.
