CAA Softball Weekly Honors - March 26
PLAYER & PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
Olivia Galati • Hofstra

Galati earned CAA Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week after leading the Pride to a sweep of the Georgia State Panthers in the first week of conference play. The junior threw three straight complete-game victories going 3-0 from the circle. She also produced at the plate for the Pride batting .364, safely hitting in all three games. Galati finished the weekend scoring three runs, four RBI and one home run. As the only Hofstra hurler to see action in the pitching circle, Galati allowed just seven runs in 19 innings, striking out 20 and posting an ERA of 2.58.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Morgan Heath • James Madison
Yorktown, Va./Grafton, Fr., Outfielder
Heath received CAA Rookie of the Week honors after batting .467 for the Dukes
on the week. She helped the Dukes to a 2-1 start in CAA action with a pair of
victories over Drexel in the opening weekend of conference play. Heath finished
the week hitting safely in all five games played. She produced a .500 on-base
percentage and a .533 slugging percentage after going 7-for-15 at the plate,
while adding a double, four runs scored, a walk, a sacrifice hit and a stolen
base. In the opening game against the Dragons, Heath went 3-for-4 with two runs
and a stolen base.
