W&M WINS 12TH CONSECUTIVE CAA MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP
Northeastern finished third with 70 points, followed by Georgia State, VCU, UNCW and Hofstra.
Northeastern sophomore Eric Jenkins completed the eight-kilometer course in a time of 24:46 to capture the individual title and Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet honors. Jenkins finished 19 seconds ahead of William & Mary’s Zach Gates, who earned runner-up honors. Northeastern’s Brian Doyle finished third with a time of 25:16, while William & Mary’s Tom Burke (25:17), Radford Gunzenhauser (25:17) and Alex McGrath (25:24) grabbed the next three spots.
Other men’s runners earning All-CAA status this year include: Alex Zyryanov, Mason (25:29); Valentin Poncelet, GSU (25:29); Michael Conway, Mason (25:30); Chris Tyson, W&M (25:31); Tyler Jones, W&M (25:37); Philip Blankenship, Mason (25:39).
With the conference race now at a close, next up for the CAA squads are the NCAA Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 12.
