Darcy Dorton • College of Charleston
Muncie, Ind./Penn State, R-Sr., Outside Hitter

Dorton turned in another solid performance that helped the Cougars win the league regular-season title. The senior, who has now won four weekly offensive awards this season, totaled 43 kills and 5.38 kills per set as CofC defeated Towson (3-2) on Friday to clinch the title, and Delaware (3-0) one day later. Versus the Tigers, Dorton tallied a season-high 26 kills, while the victory assured that the former Penn State transfer has now won three different conference titles (Big 10, SoCon, CAA). She impressively hit .410 overall and even chipped in 26 digs and five blocks in eight sets played over the weekend.

Lizzy Briones • James Madison
Siloam Springs, Ark./Siloam Springs, Jr., Middle Blocker

James Madison went 2-0 over the weekend and stretched its winning streak to three straight games thanks in large part to Briones’ excellence on the defensive end. The junior Arkansas native registered 22 blocks over eight sets played -- registering a new career-high with 11 blocks in each match -- as the Dukes downed Northeastern and Hofstra, respectively. Briones efforts helped JMU limit both of the weekend’s opponents to a mere .058 attack percentage and allowed the Dukes to clinch the No. 4 seed in the upcoming CAA championship. Briones is now just 11 total blocks shy (151) of tying the all-time JMU single-season blocks record set in 2002.

Hannah Klemm • Hofstra
Berlin, Germany/SLZB, Fr., Setter

Klemm made her first two starts of her freshman campaign this past weekend and made the most of the opportunity by setting new single-match assist highs (50 and 35) by a Hofstra player this season. The Germany native easily set new career-highs with 50 assists and 14 digs and three blocks in the Pride’s 3-1 win over William & Mary on Friday. Although Hofstra fell to JMU, 3-0, on Sunday, Klemm earned the start and recorded 35 assists and five digs in defeat. For the week, she averaged 12.14 assists and 2.71 digs per set.
