CLYMER AND GWIAZDOWSKI EARN CAA WEEKLY WRESTLING HONORS

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (Jan. 3, 2011) - Ben Clymer of Hofstra University is the Colonial Athletic Association Wrestler of the Week and Nick Gwiazdowski of Binghamton University is the CAA Rookie of the Week for all competition December 20-January 2.

Clymer, a senior 184 from Germansville, Pa., posted a 6-2 record at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga to place fourth. He led Hofstra at the Scuffle with 15.5 team points and raised his overall record to 14-5.

Ranked first in the CAA and 19th in the nation by Amateur Wrestling News, Clymer defeated the 11th ranked wrestler from Virginia and the 15th ranked wrestler from Navy at the Scuffle.

Gwiazdowski, a freshman heavyweight from Delanson, N.Y., won by fall in Binghamton's dual meet win at Buffalo last week.

Ranked second in the CAA and 20th in the nation by WIN Magazine (13th by The Open Mat), Gwiazdowski improved to 15-4 on the season, 5-1 in duals.
