RICHMOND, Va. (January 28, 2014) – Some familiar faces highlighted the CAA’s weekly Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors on Tuesday, as William & Mary  junior Megan Howard and Towson junior Lyndsey Dickson picked up the nods, respectively.

It’s the fifth time during the 2013-14 season that Howard was rewarded by the league for her performances. This past weekend, at the Tribe’s last home meet of the year, the McLean, Va. native won two individual and two relay races to help William & Mary defeat Old Dominion and improve to 7-3 overall.

Howard broke a new pool record in the 50 free versus the Monarchs with a time of 23.14 seconds, breaking her own record for a dual-meet that she set two weeks ago. She also earned first-place honors in the 100 free (51.49), while anchoring the winning 200 medley relay (1:45.21) and 400 free relay (3:31.24, second leg), teams along the way. Overall, Howard impressively owns 24 wins on the year.

Dickson earned her third overall conference honor this season, and the first since Oct. 29 of 2013. Versus Delaware last weekend, the junior captured first-place honors in the one and three-meter dive with scores of 275.85 and 295.50, respectively.

In other action from around the CAA, UNCW sophomore Jenson Engen turned out another solid weekend. The Wisconsin native won the 100 and 200 breast, the 200 IM and the 200 medley relay for the Seahawks versus Virginia Tech. Towson freshman Olivia Evans also had a hand in the Tigers’ win over UD, turning out top finishes in the 100 and 200 back as well.
