RICHMOND, Va. (October 23, 2013) –Towson junior Matt Lowe and UNCW freshman Allen Crosby have been named CAA Men’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively.

Lowe, who becomes the third Towson men’s swimmer/diver to win a weekly honor this season, also earned his first career league award. He captured first-place honors in the 200-yard butterfly (1:53.98) and 500-yard freestyle (4:39.62) this past weekend in a road meet versus Georgetown and William & Mary. The Nassau, Bahamas, native also had a second-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle to fellow Tiger Brandon Ress, with a time of 9:43.57.

Crosby shined on the diving board for the Seahawks over the weekend, placing first in the 1-meter and first in the 3-meter. The freshman set a new school record with a score of 309.60 in the 1-meter, eclipsing the previous mark of 307.66 set in 2003. In the 3-meter, Crosby had an impressive score of 325.27.
