RICHMOND, Va. (October 15, 2013) – For the second consecutive week, UNCW junior Valtteri Halonen and Towson senior Alex Cohen have earned CAA men’s swimming and diving honors.

Halonen helped UNCW defeat Old Dominion after capturing three individual titles over four events last weekend. The Finland native swam the 100 fly in 50.58, finished the 200 backstroke in 1:52.97 and also had a hand in the Seahawks’ first-place 200 medley relay race, which was completed in a time of 1:33.54.

Cohen also captured weekly honors for the second straight time after leading Towson to victories over Hood College and Howard this past weekend. The senior scored 296.25 points in the three-meter and 271.50 on the one-meter and has now won all four diving events he’s competed in this season.
