Towson’s VanDyke Collects CAA Weekly Women’s Golf Award – Sept. 26

RICHMOND, Va. (September 26, 2012) - Towson junior Casey VanDyke earned CAA Women's Golf Weekly accolade after a second place finish at the St. John's Intercollegiate. 

VanDyke posted a career-best finish by claiming runner-up in the 53-player field at the event held at the par 72, 6,229-yard Eisenhower Park Golf Course in New York, N.Y. The junior, whose prior best tournament finish was an eighth place result at the 2010 Towson Invitational, carded an impressive two-round total of 149 after posting a career-low tying 74 on the first day and a 75 during the final day of play.  She was just one stroke behind individual champion Alison Kruse of Seton Hall.  The Tigers earned a fifth place team finish.
