Co-OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK:
Haley Pa’akaula • Towson
Honolulu, Hawaii/Kamehameha-Kapalama, So., Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter

Pa’akaula becomes the first Towson player to earn weekly offensive honors this season after leading the Tigers to a solid 2-1 week. The Hawaii native hit .410, registered a team-high 39 kills (3.90 per set) and also added 10 digs and three blocks. In a 3-0 win at Navy on Tuesday, Pa’akaula had 11 kills and hit .304 to help end a six-match losing skid. In the Tigers’ 3-0 victory over JMU on Saturday, she totaled 12 kills, seven digs and two blocks to help secure her team’s first league win.

Kelsie Wills • Hofstra
Matamata, New Zealand/Matamata College, Jr., Outside Hitter

For the second straight week and league-leading fifth time this season, Wills earned league honors. The junior, who led the Pride to a 2-0 week with wins at Sacred Heart and versus Northeastern, tallied 35 kills for a 3.89 per set average, 17 digs and eight blocks. The win over NU not only halted the Huskies’ six-match winning streak, but it was also the first for Hofstra in the series since Sept. 24, 2011.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Carolyn Albright • William & Mary
Raleigh, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons, So., Middle Blocker

Albright was a blocking machine for the Tribe last week, helping her squad earn a 2-1 record and a conference road sweep of Towson and Delaware. The sophomore had eight blocks in the lone loss of the week against VCU, then recorded three and seven blocks, respectively, in both wins over the Tigers and Blue Hens. Albright finished with an impressive 1.38 blocks per set average over the week and ranks third in the CAA with 104 total blocks this season.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Jamie Bredahl • Northeastern
Parker, Colo./Legend, Fr., Setter

Bredahl earned her second consecutive weekly Rookie nod and third honor of the season following a stellar showing in the Huskies’ lone match of the week. The freshman notched a triple-double in a 3-2 setback at Hofstra with 17 kills -- hitting .516 -- 20 assists and 11 digs. On top of committing just one error on 31 hitting attempts, she also provided a career-high six blocks in defeat.
