With practice starting for CAA men's basketball teams on Friday, we're taking an early look at all nine squads. Today we feature the Drexel Dragons and the Hofstra Pride.

Drexel  has finished .500 or better in CAA play for the past five seasons…Frantz Massenat enters the season ranked sixth in career assists (406) and 24th in career points (1,122) at Drexel…Damion Lee, who was third in the CAA in scoring (17.1 ppg), tallied 20 or more points nine times last season…Lee was 4th in the CAA in 3-pointers per game (2.3), 2nd in free throw percentage (82.9%) and 6th in 3-point FG percentage (36%)…Chris Fouch ranks 7th in career 3-pointers (203) at Drexel and 20th in career points (1,194)…Dartaye Ruffin has 613 career rebounds, which is the most of any returning player in the CAA…Head coach Bruiser Flint is two victories shy of 300 for his career…Flint’s 137 CAA wins (regular season and tournament) are the third-most in conference history.

Hofstra begins its first season under head coach Joe Mihalich, who previously guided Niagara to 265 wins, two NCAA Tournament berths and three NIT appearances…Mihalich was the MAAC and NABC District I Coach of the Year in 2013…Senior forward Stephen Nwaukoni led the Pride and ranked sixth in the CAA in rebounding last season (7.9 rpg). Nwaukoni, who sat out the final five games with a shoulder injury, recorded three double-doubles…Junior forward Moussa Kone averaged 14.0 ppg over the final four regular-season games a year ago…Forward Jordan Allen ranked eighth among all freshmen in the CAA in rebounding (2.9 rpg) last season and also contributed 5.0 ppg.
