College of Charleston’s Seften Collects CAA Men’s Cross Country Weekly Honors – Sept. 3

RICHMOND, Va. (September 3, 2013) – College of Charleston junior Adam Seften has been named CAA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week after winning the Carolina Challenge last weekend.

The junior distance runner crossed the finish line with a time of 15:34.91, helping the Cougars to a second-place finish at the 5K event hosted by South Carolina.  Seften’s victory marks the first outright win for CofC at the Carolina Challenge.

Among other notable marks during the first week of the 2013 cross country season was Hofstra freshman Riley Leder as he posted a second-place finish at the 5K Fr. Laurence O’Neil Invitational with a time of 16:33 in his collegiate debut. The rookie was just 14 seconds behind the meet champion, Patrick Hubbell from Central Connecticut.
