#CAAHoops Weekly: Feb. 8 Edition
This week's edition of #CAAHoops Weekly starts with a look back at Towson's 85-65 victory over Delaware in men's basketball that featured an NCAA-leading 17th double-double by the Tigers' Jerrelle Benimon. Bobby Broyles and Rob Washburn also review James Madison's 81-71 triumph over William & Mary that saw both teams shoot better than 50% from the floor while combining for 23 three-pointers.
They then look ahead to the weekend, which includes several matchups between teams near the top of the league standings. George Mason hosts Delaware on Saturday in a nationally televised contest on CBS Sports Network, and JMU visits Drexel on Sunday night in a regionally televised showdown on Comcast SportsNet.
Broyles and Washburn then shift their focus to the women's hoops side where they review Northeastern's last-second victory at Hofstra on Thursday night and Delaware's win over Towson in which the Blue Hens' Danielle Parker went over the 1,000-point mark for her career.
#CAAHoops Weekly moves into preview mode on the women's side and takes a look at Sunday's battle for first place as 10-0 Delaware travels to 9-1 James Madison. Delaware All-American Elena Delle Donne enters the contest just 11 points shy of breaking the CAA's all-time scoring record. There is also another key matchup on Sunday as third-place Drexel hosts fourth-place Old Dominion. The Lady Monarchs pulled out a narrow three-point victory in the teams' last meeting.
The final segment of #CAAHoops Weekly features an interview with Georgia State freshmen sensation R.J. Hunter, who is averaging better than 20 points per game in conference play and tied a league record with 10 three-pointers in a victory over Old Dominion last Saturday.
