ATLANTA -- In late November, 11 members of the Georgia State baseball team were able to enjoy a visit to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta/Hughes Spalding facility and spend time with some of the patients.

The Children's facility, within blocks of the GSU campus, treats more than 75,000 children each year, many of whom are uninsured and rely on assistance.

Baseball team members who participated in this community outing were Landon Anderson, Joel Van Asch, Landon Bennett, Tyler Claburn, Caleb Gore, Johnathan Kolowich, Cole Outz, Alex Prescott, Gabe Shivers, Jerry Stuckey and Joey Wood.

Georgia State student-athletes participate in more than 5,000 community service hours each year in the Atlanta area.
