Karina Evans is a sophomore here at the University of Delaware, an English major, and a member of the varsity volleyball team. She recently made a daring move to cut off her hair to donate to an organization that makes real-hair wigs for women living with cancer. Karina, and the thousands of other women who selflessly cut their hair, have allowed organizations like Locks of Love or Beautiful Lengths to donate free wigs to cancer patients. Karina has been growing her hair out for a year now, and cut it this past Tuesday at Cat Eye on Main Street. Her hair will be used to make a beautiful red wig for a woman who is undergoing cancer treatment. Karina has reminded us that a simple act like this can change a person's life.
