The North Philadelphia Aztecs Youth Development is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of promoting scholastic activities and sports for inner-city at-risk youths between the ages of 5 and 16, emphasizing discipline, structure, academic achievement, and a positive attitude. They have a cheer team that was in desperate need of assistance prepare for a competition, so we jumped in and invited them to the DAC to meet our team and offer our help. Our cheerleaders proved to be positive role models and made an impact on these teens that goes far beyond the actual "cheerleading" experience.

Their coordinator, Regina Dawson said, "The young ladies were so happy to be at Drexel. Katie and Molly and the other ladies were extraordinary. The junior coach wants to go to Drexel next year. She is in 12th grade and wants to cheer as well. Your ladies were a great inspiration to the young ladies. Some were talking about doing better in school so they can go to college. I really appreciate the light that your ladies sparked into our girls. Hope we can keep an open communication between us throughout the years."
