ATLANTA - The men's basketball team stopped by the Salvation Army Fuqua Boys & Girls Club of Atlanta on Sept. 29 after school.

This visit was two-fold in that the players carried in boxes of sporting goods equipment for the children. Then, they stuck around to get to know and mingle with some of the Club members personally. Some played games with the kids, some sat down and helped with school work.

The Panthers visit is just another in the long, long list of community service projects in which the student-athletes give more than 5,000 hours of their time back to the community in a variety of ways.

The Boys & Girls Clubs provide facilities in impoverished neighborhoods to serve 6-to-18 children in those areas who need a place to go to have fun, learn and channel the youthful energy into challenging pursuits safely.

This Club is located at 405 Lovejoy Street in Atlanta.
