BOSTON (Sept. 10, 2010) - The Northeastern women's basketball team volunteered for Northeastern
University's move-in weekend on Saturday, Sept. 4. Members of the team
and the coaching staff worked in the North Lot, greeting new students
and their families as they arrived on campus.
The team assisted the incoming students with unloading their cars and
transporting their belongings to their residence halls. The Huskies also
passed out important information to the new students and were available
to answer questions and provide guidance.
Northeastern returns nine letterwinners from last season's squad that
went 13-18 overall and 7-11 in the CAA. The Huskies advanced to the CAA
Championship quarterfinals for the third-consecutive season and fourth
time in the last five years.
The Huskies welcome three newcomers to the team, including freshmen Jewell Tunstull and Sierra Mendenhall and sophomore transfer Annette Kristiansen. Daynia La-Force Mann enters her fifth season as head coach of the Huskies.
Northeastern begins its season on Friday, Nov. 12 with a non-conference game at Syracuse.
