BOSTON (Oct. 11, 2010) - The Northeastern women's basketball team hosted a free girl's basketball
skills clinic on Sunday, Oct. 10 on the Northeastern University campus.
Girls in second through seventh grade were provided with the opportunity
to meet the players and coaching staff of the Huskies' NCAA Division I
basketball program. Instruction focused on the fundamental skills of
shooting, passing, ball handling, rebounding and defense.
Participants were also able to observe the Huskies' practice following the clinic.
The Huskies begin their 2010-11 campaign on Nov. 12 when they visit Syracuse. Head coach Daynia La-Force Mann returns nine letterwinners from last year's squad that went 13-18 and 7-11 in the CAA.
