Hempstead, N.Y. (Jan. 14, 2011) - The Hofstra women's basketball team received quite the home court advantage with just under 2,000 screaming elementary school children who packed the Mack on Thursday afternoon as they defeated Northeastern in a CAA conference victory.  The students spent two hours before the game learning about different careers in the fields of recreation, business, science, health, and communications. 

Women's basketball players Nicole Capurso and Candice Bellocchio also stopped by to talk about what they want to be when they finish school.  Once the game started, the crowd erupted and kept the momentum throughout the entire game helping the Pride earn the win.
