PHILADELPHIA (Dec. 21, 2010) - On Tuesday, Dec. 21 members of the Drexel men's wrestling team (Jamie Callender, JackCallender, Frank Cimato, Shane Fenningham, Josh Yurasits, Justin Wieller) and Assistant Coach Eric Ring could be seen loading cases of turkeys into cars and trucks for transport to needy families.
Distribution took place from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Paul Peck Alumni Center (32nd and Market Streets). This event was a great time and it was awesome to interact with alumni, employees, students and friends of Drexel University.
For the past 37 years the Drexel community has lent its support to the Annual Alumni Holiday Turkey project, providing turkeys to families' in-need within the University's West Philadelphia neighborhood. This event was great for members of the wrestling team to bond and use their strength for the best possible cause. Team members felt it was a great opportunity to donate their time to help less fortunate residents of the Drexel neighborhood.
The team plans to continue their tradition of supporting this cause in the years ahead More information on the 37th Annual Drexel University Alumni Holiday Turkey Project can be found here.
