Our own Linda Hancock (clinician and Director of The Wellness Resources Center) is an annual guest speaker at the APPLE conference and joins our team .
The VCU APPLE team enhanced their 2009 APPLE plan and will continue to implement efforts towards improving "Expectations and Attitudes" amongst the student-athlete population at VCU. The VCU APPLE team action plan is to improve the PRIDE event for incoming student-athletes to establish positive/proactive behaviors from the beginning of their careers at VCU.
The APPLE team will enhance the PRIDE event with incorporating more information on anger management and substance abuse. These topics were requested from last year's participants of the PRIDE event when surveyed about what improvements could be made for next year's event. The team looks forward to this years PRIDE event in August and the next APPLE conference.
