TOWSON, Md. -- Bright and early this morning members of the Towson football team and head coach Rob Ambrose lent a hand to the neighboring Rogers Forge Community for their annual "Dumpster Day" event.

Six large dumpsters were located in the parking lot of Rodgers Forge Elementary school for residents to deposit unwanted bulk trash items into. The Tigers were there as part of the volunteer group to help unload and deposit trash items into the dumpsters.

Dumpster Day was chaired by Rodgers Forge resident Janine Schofield and she commented that, "The Towson football players were very helpful and their involvement has made the process more efficient. We are very grateful for their assistance".

Local resident Kevin Burns calls the event "fantastic" and that the neighborhood looks forward to it all year. He went on to say, "Having the football team here shows the University is a partner with the community".
