A group of 15 Georgia State student-athletes teamed with a group of Atlanta Falcons players on Monday, March 29, to promote fitness and outdoor activity for elementary school children.

This time, the Panthers went to Herdnon Elementary School. Through the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation, the Visions Unlimited Program provided a three-hour window of fun and fitness.

The children were challenged with stretching and drills, relay races, double dutch jump roping, interactive fitness video games and with the Falcons present, some flag football and learning to throw and catch.

The Panthers who gave up their free time on Saturday were Robert Truitt, Omotay Akintoye, Chelsea Sparks, Megan Kallasta, Danielle Roddy, Lily Skelton, Emily Whitaker, Alana Thomas, Liz Thomas, Megan Geiger, Marshett Clarke, Caroline Howatt, Lauren Jones, Raquel Jones, Gabby Brooks and softball coach Roger Kincaid.

These community functions are part of the Panthers Athletic Department goal of serving more than 3,000 hours of community service by the student-athletes in metro Atlanta projects.
